2FA for receiving Encrypted E-mails / Attachments

Using ShareFile for sending encrypted e-mails / attachments is only taking care of the transport being safe.

However if you send a message/link to the wrong person then he/she is still able to open the e-mail / attachment.

It would be usefull and more secure to use a 2FA for the receipient. E.g. a SMS message / Phonecall or manual transmission of a second factor that is needed before the received attachment / message can be opened.

Hi Stefan,

We currently have the ability to setup Two Factor Authentication for users. More information can be found here: https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX208336

Thanks Kevin, but that does not fit the use case. The use case would be that the receiving person is not a ShareFile user, but a user from a different organization.
The person that has sharefile and want to send something confidential to a non-sharefile user by e-mail wants to be certain the person that only the person that belongs to the e-mail adres can access the information. This can be made possible by securing this with exchanging a secret via a different medium / channel then e-mail. For example when the ShareFile user is going to send the message to the e-mail adres he also needs to input the mobile phone number of the receiving person. When that person receives the sharefile e-mail he can only open it when he enters a OTP code that he received by SMS on the phone number that was entered by the ShareFile user. Hope this makes it more clear?
