Any knowledge when the i pad annotations will be active or is there a roll back coming.

We use the i pad pro to annotate in sharefile, pictures, notes, dates, signatures onto a template, compiling proof of compliance for our client. The latest version had annotation up dates (bottom bar), these do not work, we are coming to the end of a 10 month contract, ready to clip and snip booklets on pdf and we've ground to a halt. Any idea on roll back or bug fix?

Hi Nigel,

My apologies for the delay in response.  I took a look at the annotations on the iPad last night and I'm not immediately seeing where it doesn't work.  I know that some of the updated features, like the insert, do require the PDF to have text, and will not work on an image of text.  Can you be more specific on the parts that don't work?

Hello leo,
Previously we could insert pictures directly from camera and from the i pad album (we have compiled over 2000 documents recording completed works on behalf of our client part of our contractual obligation). It would also be helpful that if there are instructions to the update you could direct me to them as you seem to be happy with the result and our contract has ground to a halt at a very important juncture. If then your updates versatility is not as useful in respect of previous version, I can remove the files from sharefile and amend them from bluebeam. Not a great solution to very mobile previous version that my team were using but we are ready to compile the finished product for our client and then i will cancel our subscription to sharefile.

Hi Nigel,

Unfortunately we do not have instructions at this time.  Thank you for clarifying your workflow.  I am trying to get clarification on the attachment process, as I think I can see how it is bringing things to a halt.

If you could as I don’t get the ring backs from the issue number raised and I was told there’s a lot tickets being raised against this issue. I just need to know which direction to go in.

Hi Nigel,

It looks like I have bad news.  It looks like there is a report about this issue in the works, but it is relying on an update that is not able to be rushed any faster than it already is.  Once that update happens, it should by default fix the issue you are running into without further change.  However, it is extremely unlikely the update will be able to occur in the time frame you need to finish your work.  Rolling back was explored and is not an available option, unfortunately.
