Anyone know how to get rid of the sharefile folder on windows explorer after you remove sync from Windows 10??
We are using drive mapper instead of sync due to volume of files we have on sharefile.  When I removed sync it did not remove the folder that shows up on windows explorer??

@Larry , ShareFile Sync intentionally doesn't delete the locally synced user's files and folders on uninstall. You should be able to manually delete the ShareFile sync root folder (typically @ "C:\Users\<username>\ShareFile") provided sync was uninstalled from control panel.

In case sync was manually removed from "Program Files" and not from control panel you might receive permission denied errors because those folders are locked by sync to avoid deletion by accident. If so, please follow these steps to manually unlock/revert permissions on those folders and then try deleting:
1. Right Click > Security , select Edit
2. select "Users" group in "Group or User names"
3. check Allow > "Full Control" in "Permission for Users"
4. Apply , OK.
Now you should be able to delete those folders.

This does not work.  I cannot remove the root ShareFile folder, after uninstalling, with either of these methods.

Hi Dave,

We will be happy to help you. Can you please provide more details on what error you are getting? Also were you able to uninstall Sync app cleanly?
