Citrix Files on a locked down published desktop

Citrix Files 4.3 installed on a published desktop (Win2012R2).   The desktop is locked down, meaning users cannot see explorer, taskbar items, or local drives.  If a user opens up excel, they can see the S drive for sharefile and open/save documents.  Is there a way for them to be able to access the S drive directly?  I'm guessing this is more of a GPO setting thatn Citrix Files. I tried adding a shortcut (preferences)  in a GPO and the Citrix Files icon shows up on the desktop but when you click it nothign happens.

Just curious if anyone else has tried this.

Double clicking on Citrix Files Icon would attempt launching file explorer but since that restricted it probably is failing.

In such an environment probably you would need to access it via command prompt if thats not restricted. Or probably the admin may selectively enable access to S: via explorer.

Also when you use Win+R and type S: in the prompt, does that not open S: in explorer?

How are your users accessing drives other than C: today on these locked down machines?
