We have a  requiremnet where in user  want to upload /download files of 20 GB or so.
Currently we have SZC 5.3 on-prem

What is the best way for us to accomplish this without failures.
Is there any issue with interruptions.

Uploading users are mainly employees and downloading ones clients (remote)

which app can give us best results , Desktop, web ,citrix files, sync

Anything we can do to speed up the upload/download

Both employee and client uses can use Desktop, Web or Citrix Files as all of them support both. I would generally recommend Citrix Files for employees and WebApp/Citrix Files for clients.
Please note that Sync is not available for client users.

With Citrix Files, the right click context menu option at Folder level -> More Options -> "Upload" can be used when uploading large files as it bypasses the overhead of explorer/finder, cache, driver etc and should be faster.

what about any interruptions on the network , does it resume from where it was interrupted or it will break and we have to restart from the beginning.

From the context menu i only see option Move to sharefile .. where in sharefile is it moved.

Also does the 18 hour limit apply to citrix files

How is desktop app different than Citrix files.

Hi Vivak,

Desktop App automatically retries the failed transfer operation on network reconnect. Citrix Files provides it too for context menu based upload and download options, and for filesystem based "upload".

Looks like you are using Sync (https://www.citrix.com/downloads/sharefile/clients-and-plug-ins/sharefile-sync-for-windows.html) and not Citrix Files (https://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-content-collaboration/product-software/citrix-files-for-wind...). Move to ShareFile is a ShareFile sync option to move files to your Personal Folders in Sync.

Please refer to the "upload", "download" option mentioned https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX237126

Yes, the upload (24 hours) and download (18 hours) link validity applies.

If I were you, in this case I'd use an FTPS client, or the migration tool.

The issue we may have is we are not cloud based and have the storage zone on premise ., So Ftps or migration tool wont be much of help as far as i think

You can use ftps with on-prem, I do it, it's easy automation.
You could automatically grab and upload all files put in a specific folder to make it friendly for users.

Somehow i couldn't get it working , i will give this another try and let you know.
Can you give me some details on what do you automate in that.

Also is there any limitation to a FTPS upload/download in terms of time . Can we initiate a download or upload using FileZilla and this can go on.

Does it have any disconnection/reconnection issues and resume on disconnect  capability

I am getting error connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity in the Filezilla , so not able to connect to FTPS at all

Also i tried telnet subdomain.sharefileftp.com 990  , it couldnt connect

is that we need to enable something on firewall /  Proxy
