Do you know why some people can’t access sharefile via Chrome, but are able to via Explorer and FireFox? Is there a way to fix this? Not sure the version, since we've had multiple clients reach out regarding this. Thanks in advance!

Hi Todd,

What error / behavior do your clients see when accessing ShareFile via Chrome? Also can you provide the Chrome version(s) being used?

They get unresponsive or blank web pages that cannot load. They said they haven't experienced it with other websites. I'll ask them. Once I hear back, I'll let you know.

Our client said Google Chrome is up to date

Version 67.0.3396.87 (Official Build) (64-bit). Thanks for the quick response!

Hi Todd,

Can you please check if using the incognito mode helps open the ShareFile website. Since this is happening only with Chrome and not IE/FireFox on the same machine, just wanted to rule out that some Chrome extension is blocking it.

If that does not work, please verify if there's any extension allowed to run in incognito, and if so disable it and try again.

Cheers

My client said running it in incognito mode worked! Do you have any idea which extension would block Sharefile?

None of these extensions should be causing the issue but I am not certain how they behave. One way could be to disable these one by one and narrow down the culprit.

Alternatively, if your client is fine with it, can you ask them to try doing a reset settings. That would disable all extensions and they can enable the ones that are needed. chrome://settings/resetProfileSettings
