Download signed PDF documents through the API?

This question is regarding the RightSignature API.

I can generate and send documents and templates via the API and query the status of the document.  I see a field in the document query response called "signed_pdf_url" but if I access that url directly I get an error.

What I would like to do is generate signing requests through our application and then periodically check the status of the document.  if it is completed I would like to download a copy of the signed PDF to store locally in our application for future reference.

Is this possible and if so does someone have an example to share?

Hi Bob,

Are you using sending requests to send documents?
If so, if you provide a  document[callback_url] in your request, we will post events for viewed, signed.. to this url. Then if the document is executed, you can GET the document and its signed pdf url.

https://api.rightsignature.com/documentation/resources/v1/sending_requests/create.en.html

Thanks
