Enterprise Sync now has lots of authentication errors

We use Sharefile Enterprise Sync (1.3.6) and have so for 4 years without issue.  We can't use any "client" tools as we have multiple folders from multiple servers syncing to multiple Sharefile folders.
Since 31st Aug 1100 UTC, we have been having 1 in 3 job attempts fail due to ;
  • Could not reach target ShareFile folder.Warning: Invalid authentication ID, please reauthenticate.
  • Warning: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: ***auth**Invalid authentication ID, please reauthenticate.*** at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.ReadResponse(SoapClientMessage message, WebResponse response, Stream responseStream, Boolean asyncCall) at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String methodName, Object[] parameters) at ShareFile.Services.WasabiWS.Wasabi.GetDirectory4(String authenticationId, String parentIdOrPath, Boolean recursive, Boolean foldersOnly) at ShareFile.Services.WasabiWrapper.GetDirectory(String parentIdOrPath, Boolean recursive, Boolean foldersOnly)
The jobs will then rerun on their next schedule fine.  Most of these jobs have the same credentials. Every job has been reverified and ALWAYS passes, and the saved user details also verified and they ALWAYS pass.

Enterprise Sync is running on a Win Server 2008 R2 machine.

I would see if version 1.4 resolves the problem but it can't be downloaded any more.

My questions are ;
What would be causing this (raw logs available if support staff want them) ?
What can I do to work around this ?

We experience the exact same issue since the beginning of September. Both with Enterprise Sync and SFCLI. We did not find anything useful yet. This topic is the only thing we found.

We are experiencing the same issue. A number of failures with Enterprise Sync. Ironically, if I run it manually later, it backs up fine. I was wondering if Enterprise Sync Manager is not supported anymore. I don't see that app on their list of available apps.

I've been in contact with Sharefile support and they said they've found a possible cause (something with TLS version) and are checking for a fix.

I was hoping it was a similar issue to this, https://community.sharefilesupport.com/citrixsharefile/topics/api-call-https-account-sf-api-com-sf-v... but we are still having lots of problems.

I managed to get a copy of Enterprise Sync 1.4.1.  It does not appear to have made a difference.

Don't know if this helps or if this is fully solved for me yet, but on the server I unchecked TLS 1.0 and reran my jobs and the authentication issues went away and started syncing again, I'm still watching this as I just had this happen as well.

I disabled TLS 1.0 via registry edit and still am plagued with this issue. If anyone has a fix for this issue.. please share.

Ramon, how did you contact support?  Their website(s) don't have working links or go in circles.  Tried multiple browsers/multiple locations.  Could be a geo-ip related issue.

Hi Brian,

You can open a case at https://support.citrix.com/cscase

This is normally reached by going to sharefile.com -> Help Center -> Contact Us -> Get General Help (in the General Technical Assistance box).
