Help with text tags one off document (docx)

I am sending a one off document to myself with two tags [s:a:r] and [t:a:r] for testing.
When I open the link as the signer, I see exactly [s:a:r] and [t:a:r] but no indication of signing there.  The submit signature button shows up as well.   Submit executes it but doesn't add any signatures or ask to fill the text field.  Is there something I'm doing wrong?

If I log in under my account and view the document (not as the signer), I see this:

 Which version of our api/product are you using?  https://rightsignature.com/apidocs/documentation_intro#/text_tags or https://api.rightsignature.com/documentation/document_workflows?  Please provide more info about the calls you are making.

Hi Kelley,

Thanks for the response.

We are using https://api.rightsignature.com/documentation/document_workflows version.

We are sending the one off request and follow all the steps 1-5.
1. Added [s:a:r] text in docx document

2. Created sending request with a body similar to this

{
"document": {
"expires_in": 1,
"name": "Test",
"roles": [
{
"name": "signer",
"signer_email": "a valid email",
"signer_name": "Test Guy"
}
],
"signer_sequencing": false
},
"file": {
"name": "Sample_MCA_Application_RS.pdf",
"source": "upload"
}
}

3.  We upload the file via PUT
4.  POST to url ...id/uploaded
5.  We receive the email but when i click the link theres nothing to sign just a Submit button.

Let me know what other information you would like.

I think the issue may be with the role name.  "Role name. For text tags, the role name in the request must correspond to the recipient name given as the second argument (name) in the text tag. When signer sequencing is enabled, the role name must match the signer name set on the template."

We do have signer_sequencing set to false which doesn't agree with the last statement.

But are you saying our text tag needs to be if role name is "signer" [s:signer:r] ?

https://api.rightsignature.com/documentation/document_workflows No you would need to change the name in sending request as only a-z are supported.  so like "name": "signer" needs changed to "name": "a",
