I'm having problems with creating users to personal addressbook through powershell. I'm trying to add user to personal addressbook instead of shared address book. Can anyone help me with this.

Send-SfRequest $sfClient -Method POST -Entity Users -Body $user -Parameters @{"notify" = "True";"type" = "personal"

Hello, Marcus.
Thank you for contacting ShareFile.

To double-check, are you trying to create a new user and add it to the personal address book or add an existing user to the personal address book?

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Hi Marcus,

Also confused by this question. By default, a new user will be added to the Shared Address book and the Personal address book.

So, you can simply this to:
Send-SfRequest -Client $sfClient -Entity Users -Method POST -Body $newUser -Parameters @{ "notify"="true" }

Unfortunately,  I believe ShareFile developers took the option away to not add to the Personal and Shared Address book on new client creation. You can, however, remove a user from the Shared Address book by updating their Roles via PATCH. With that said, I think the role that would need to be removed would be AdminSharedAddressBook.

Hope that helps
