How to track who uploaded anonymous documents through "Request File" link

I want to provide a "Request File" link to 50 people so they can upload forms. If the person neglected to provide their names in the uploaded form, is there a way to track who uploaded the anonymous files (via e-mail or something else)?

Hi Ron,

If no information was filled out, you would have to rely on their IP address.  You can also set Request links to require name and email address to help with this.

A question, even if they fill all that information out, It still shows anonymous.  Why wouldn't it show who created it?

I would want to make sure the link in question is a request link [(subdomain).sharefile.com/r...] and not a Remote Upload form instead.

That's not expected behavior for a request link, so we would need to look at the link itself, and would want information on how the link was created in order to see if we can duplicate the problem.

If we can duplicate it then we can put in a ticket to fix whatever is causing the issue.  If we can't duplicate it then it would need investigation on why it is doing that.

For a remote upload form, it is expected behavior IF the form is for an account that has Archiving turned on, due to the regulations that account has to follow.

@leo what do I need to do to get you that information, sending you a private message?

Log in to your ShareFile account, go to Help, and submit the information in a help request under Technical.  This will get a ticket open and I can TRY to have a representative look at it at the end of the day today (not likely with the volume for our support team), or have it looked at over the weekend.  There will probably be a few test uploads to see the results as well.
