Is there a folder limit?

Hello everyone.  This is my example.  If I have a single user account and 1,000 clients, can I create 1,000 folders and each folder with each client?  Each folder would be unique.  I want to have a secured portal where clients can log into their own folder and download sensitive information for their eyes only. It would be mostly used for share information with the client but could the clients also upload information?

Hi Michael,

We don't recommend more than 500 items (folders and files combined) in a folder.  Outside of that recommendation (where you can set subfolders like A-G, H-L, etc to get what you need in), as long as you gave a user access to upload in a folder, they can upload to that folder.

this is a horrible limitation of Sharefile.  i wish we had known this before we switched from Egnyte.  Now everything runs so slow, operation staff hate using sharefile now.
