We are looking for ShareFile best practices to manage our files.  First, the source of the files:

1.  The file may exist on our C drive
2.  The file may exist as an attachment in Outlook
3.  The file may be created in an application on our C drive such as in Word

The problem is that depending on how we store a file, it may not be visible to the user at a later time.  We have been careful to maker sure all users have access to the folders.

At any one time, we may take advantage of any one of the following to place the file in ShareFile:

1.  Use ShareFile Mapper
2.  Use ShareFile Desktop App
3.  Login to Sharefile through a browser.

I've looked for an overview document, but have been unsuccessful.  Does the community have any recommendations.

Hi John,

You don't see an overview document because there's more than one way to do things, and to optimize the best way for you, it would help to know what the intended workflow is for your company.   Do you need to have local copies of your files, or is it unnecessary?  Are you intending to primarily work off of the cloud copy, or are you intending to use the cloud more as a backup?  Things like that.
