Hello,

I'm new to ShareFile.  I noticed that along with the client's email address it also provides a shorter "User ID".  As an admin, is there a way to see what these client user ID's are?  My clients may ask for these when they are setting up their FTPS transfers instead of the longer username.

Hi George,

It's possible for you to see what it is, but not in a convenient manner.  When you go to their user page, there's a (long) alphanumeric user ID in the address.  The user ID they can use should start with a u, followed by the last 9 characters of the longer user ID.  We normally recommend that they log in and go to Settings -> Personal Settings -> Advanced Connections so that they are aware that it exists and have a reference page they can refer to, since it's easier for them to see it than for you to piece it together.
