Pb with conflit files

Hi,

We have a very big problem with an increase of files with conflit at the end of the name,
Sharefile is creating a huge amount of conflict files, for a same document we have sometimes more than one conflict  for the same file , and sometimes the conflit are created by people who have never open the file or even the folder where the file was.

Are others custumers afflicted by this problem ? It's becoming very troublesome, we have a case open but it's doesn't get us anywhere.  Our users are becoming quite angry, they have to open every file to find wich one was there’s.

We have the 3.15.109 version of Sharefile Sync.

Hi,

Files with a conflict tag appended to the file name are created to prevent data loss and are normally created in the following circumstances:

- Sync can't write to the StorageZone for some reason, and writes the file back locally.
- One file is being opened in multiple Sync locations simultaneously

Given what you're describing, it is likely the latter case, and using the Check In/Check Out feature should stop that.  That feature is described here:

https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX207683#CICO

If the issue does not stop, we would need Sync logs from the computers doing the actual uploading to try to pin down the reason.

Hi,

It can't be the latter because as I said "the conflit are created by people who have never open the file or even the folder where the file was."

I just had the case one of my file, a conflit just appeared on my folder and I called immediatly the author of the conflict and he assured me he never open the file nor the folder.

Great.

Did you provide logs to the engineer working on your case then?
