Receiving a "REJECTED" HTTP response when attempting to upload a file using ShareFile API

I am receiving not an "ERROR" response, but a "REJECTED" HTTP response when attempting to upload a file using ShareFile API. When the response is rejected, it is also not uploaded. Is there any specific reason as to why I am receiving this response after making my HTTP request?

Aaron,

Are you uploading to a public cloud zone, or an on-premise zone?

Thanks,
Eli

Hi Aaron,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We've got a ticket open for the issue but we're still having some issue reproducing the problem. A couple more questions that will help us track down the issue:

1. Do you have any particular folder id where an upload failed recently? If so, what's the approximate date and time of the failure?
2. Are you using the .NET ShareFile SDK for the uploads, or your own code?

Thanks,
Eli

Hi Eli,

No problem.

Folder ID: fo3c71f6-570d-4219-8d84-08fb09f3ed31

There were a variety of dates that files just didn't upload. Rather than getting an ERROR response, we received a REJECTED response.

Here's some info:
  • 12/18/2017  - 2 file(s)
  • 12/19/2017  - 1 file(s)
  • 12/22/2017  - 1 file(s)
  • 12/23/2017  - 1 file(s)
  • 12/24/2017  - 1 file(s)
  • 12/25/2017  - 7 file(s)
  • 12/26/2017  - 6 file(s)
  • 12/27/2017  - 4 file(s)
There were also a variety of times:
  • 0030  - 7 file(s)
  • 0930  - 1 file(s)
  • 1000  - 4 file(s)
  • 1100  - 2 file(s)
  • 1200  - 2 file(s)
  • 1400  - 5 file(s)
  • 1800  - 2 file(s)
It is our own code, but we never experienced this problem before, and the code has been running without this issue for over 6-7 months.

Thanks,
Aaron

Aaron,

Thanks again for the info. We're still having trouble finding info on the rejected uploads. Assuming that you have these failures recorded in a log, do happen to have a full storage center upload url for a REJECTED upload that we could look at?
If you don't, could you please help us by adding that value to the application logs?

Whether you have them now or will obtain them later, you can upload any of those urls in a text file to this link: https://eliezeren.sharefile.com/r-r7fec914dc3d4422b

Thanks,
Eli

Hi Eli,

We do not currently log this url, but will add this to our current code, and will upload if/when we run into issue again.

Thanks,
Aaron
