Release Notes, Citrix Files for Mac, v19.4

We are pleased to announce that the Citrix Files for Mac, v19.4 app is now available for download. 

Note: starting with this release, the app will use a numbering system based on the release date (YY.MM).

Important Information
  • Installation requires macOS 10.12 or newer
  • Local computer Administrator permissions are required to install the app
How to Download
What's new:
  • Offline Access General Availability – Offline Sync is now available for all employee users.  Individual files and folders can now be made available offline.  Previously this feature was in beta testing.

  • Dashboard Error Handling – Users are notified about errors in a new tab in the dashboard.  Double clicking on certain errors allows them to be resolved directly from the dashboard.

  • Dashboard Improvements – Support for opening recent dashboard items when their paths haven’t been accessed previously
  • Retaining data on logout/uninstall – Users may now choose to keep offline data when logging out or uninstalling (Note: Logging in again is required to access this data)

  • Quality Improvements:
    • Performance Improvements – Numerous optimizations focused on reducing CPU usage and energy impact
    • Improved File Recovery – Added handling for certain cases where files could not be uploaded
    • Authentication Revoke Fix – Users are now prompted to re-authenticate when their sessions have expired or been revoked. Previously would see failed to load folder messages and had to quit and relaunch the app in order to be prompted to re-authenticate.
    • Offline Access Crash Fix – Fixes for crashes caused by background activity with the offline access feature
Who needs to know?
Citrix Files for Mac is for both Enterprise and SMB customers.
