Release Notes, Citrix Files for Windows Beta 6

We are pleased to announce the release of Citrix Files for Windows, Beta 6. You can download the Beta from the following link:

Please note: Users upgrading from earlier beta versions of Citrix Files may be required to re-authenticate and your settings reset.

New in this release:
  1. Resumable Downloads – In the case of network interruption during a download attempt, the download will automatically resume from the last point rather than restart.

  2. Support for XenApp/XenDesktop deployments –install Citrix Files on your XA/XD VDA and your S: drive will be automatically mounted inside the application or desktop session.

  3. System Tray Icon for error states – the Citrix Files system tray will show a warning overlay icon in cases where the drive is not mounted.  

  4. Language support for Korean, Simplified Chinese,and Russian 

  5. Mount Point GPO settings have now been moved from Computer Configuration to User Configuration – if you have existing Mount Point GPOs configured, please re-configure using latest .admx template. (see Group Policy section of more information.

  6. General quality and performance improvements

Keep up the good work. This drivemapper/citrix files software is the key feature that made me choose sharefile over the competitors.

We have been trying to use the new beta version and it is a lot faster than the old driver mapper however, we have found that not all files are loading.  I've not been able to pin point why.  Some are excel files and word files.
