We are pleased to announce that the Citrix Files for Windows app, v4.5 is available for download.

How to download:
What's new:
  • Recent Files tab - The Recent Files tab in the dashboard is now cross-platform. When you access a file using the web or mobile applications, the accessed file appears as a recent file in Citrix Files for Windows. You can open files and view the file location from the dashboard. You can still see your active uploads and direct downloads in the Queue tab.

  • [BETA] Errors tab - After enabling beta features, an Errors tab appears on the dashboard. The tab is used to quickly show errors for Citrix Files for Windows activities such as files that failed to upload, folders that failed to create, and more.

  • Please Note: The Errors tab is currently shown only in BETA mode and must be enabled for your account. For more information on Citrix Files Beta Features, please see https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX237762  - To provide feedback on this Beta feature, please email cfwin.feedback@citrix.com or use the ‘Send Feedback’ option in the Help Menu of the App.

  • {BETA] Offline Pending Folder Actions – Pending folder actions has been added in this release. This allows all folder level operations (create, delete, update) when in offline mode.
  • General Quality Improvements and customer issues, such as:
    • PDF files edited using Bluebeam become corrupted.
    • Citrix Files incorrectly shows "Your access token might be expired or revoked." when logged onto a VDA.
    • After upgrading Citrix Files, the application maps to the wrong drive letter.
    • Saving to a Citrix Files location eventually corrupts the saved file.
    • Disconnecting or changing networks might cause Citrix Files to exit unexpectedly.
    • Renaming/Changes made to a Favorite File doesn't rename the file in the original location
    • Moving a File to a Folder is failing while in offline mode
    • File with multiple versions disappeared when deleting the current version.

Who needs to know?
Citrix Files for Windows is for both Enterprise and SMB customers.
