We are pleased to announce the release of the ShareFile Web Application, v.17.39! The following features and improvements will be rolled out to all accounts by October 6th.

Update to Default ShareFile Login Screen

In accordance with ongoing design improvements, we are updating the default ShareFile login screen to match our new color scheme and UI elements. This change should not impact any accounts utilizing customized branding or split-login screens.

Sometimes referred to by our support team as "web pop", this updated login look will also appear when signing into various ShareFile tools like Sync or ShareFile Desktop.

Improvements to Reporting

Our dev teams are cooking up multiple improvements to our Reporting feature just in time for the holidays. The first of these are already on the way:
  • Storage Summary Report - Review data for an account or user. Due to the scope of this report, it can only be run once a week, on a recurring basis.
  • Access Change Report - Review data for addition, removal, or editing of users based on account, folder, or user. 90 day increments only!
  • Share Report - Review file shares from the web application or other ShareFile tools, by user or by account. 90 day increments only!
  • Request Report - Just like the above, but for file requests instead.
  • User Report - Review users on your account, including login date information and address book status. (formerly known as "Export full user list")
We'll be updating our Support Article for Reporting as these improvements become available. Check that article out for more information on report limitations and data fields that are included in each report.

Improvements to License Count

A small update to the Admin Settings > Admin Overview menu - the user licenses that you have used (and those that are still available) should be indicated in the "Account Summary" section.

Adjustments to Cloud Alias Naming Function

Here's one for our StorageZones users. Due to low utilization by customers and the potential for customer issues related to inaccurately named zone aliases, we're removing the ability to change cloud aliases from the StorageZones dashboard.

Bug Fixes and other Improvements

The following items have been fixed or improved:
  • Misc. UI improvements for icons and app modules
  • Issue accessing view-only messages under certain conditions
  • Issue downloading folders from particular notifications
  • When encountering an error during user creation, the app does not draw the user's attention to the error as it should
  • Date not appending properly to file names when completing certain reports

Who needs to know?
ShareFile Web Application updates are intended for all customers.

When will the fixes for the web-app be pushed? The folder link in email notifications has disappeared - a major oops!
