We are pleased to announce the release of ShareFile Web Application v 17.49 which will be available to all customers in the coming days.

New User Confirmation Improvements for Single Sign-On Users

We have made changes how a new user logging in using their single sign-on company credentials are handled. Now instead of logging in once to confirm their credentials and then again to login into ShareFile or receiving emails from ShareFile to activate their account, new users using their company single sign-on credentials are automatically confirmed so they can login easier.

For more details about the process and exactly who it applies to, please see our knowledge base article at

The following customer issues have been resolved:
  • Two-step verification codes were being sent to primary phones but not back up phones.
  • Renaming top level folders in a folder template was not working correctly when there were more than 10 top level folders.
  • Error message for users accessing a download or upload page that they do not access to was not displaying and users were redirected to the login page without explanation.
  • Encrypted email read receipts were being sent when the original sender opens an email with read receipt disabled.
  • The “@” character was replaced with “%40” in search results.
  • Search redirecting to 404 Error (Page not found).
  • Single Sign On was not authenticating users correctly which resulted in some admin pages not displaying for the affected users.
  • When a user is removed from ShareFile and their files reassigned to a new users, the previous user's sent messages were not displaying properly.
  • Users with "-@" in their email address were not being created.
  • Reading sent encrypted emails required additional permissions than usual.

There are also some miscellaneous UI updates that include more icons for files and progress indicators.
