We are pleased to announce the release of ShareFile Web Application v18.10. The following changes will be available to all customers in the coming days.

Assigning Folder Access to New Users

We have updated the process for assigning Folder Access for new users. With this new flow, you will be able to select folders and then permissions separately for each folder selected.

This is an improvement from the previous process where you are able to select different folders but only one set of permissions that would apply to all selected folders.

Terms and Conditions Preview

For customers who have Terms and Conditions enabled, we have added a "Preview" button so that Admins can preview what it will look like. We have also added a message to contact ShareFile support to make changes.

If you are interested in enabling Terms and Conditions on login for your account, please contact our Support team at https://www.sharefile.com/support

Miscellaneous UI Updates

This release includes an update to the help text for editing subdomains in the Admin menu. The text was updated to be clearer and no requirements were changed.

The following customer issues have been resolved:

  1. Poor UI formatting after selecting user in Resend Welcome Email page.
  2. Api.sharefile.com fails to authenticate users with IP restrictions.

Who needs to know?

ShareFile Web Application updates are intended for all customers.

For the issue that was resolved related to api.sharefile.com and IP restrictions--if we had to have IP allowances added to our account so that logins to api.sharefile.com would succeed, can those now be removed? I believe the workaround was that some AWS IPs had to be whitelisted so that we could login to api.sharefile.com, and I would like to remove those now that the fix is in place
