We are pleased to announce the release of ShareFile Web Application v18.50 which includes the following improvements and bug fixes. These changes will be available to customers in the coming week.

ShareFile Storage Quotas

Improvements have been made to Storage Quotas to give customers greater control over their storage consumption by prohibiting users from uploading files when over their quota. ShareFile Administrators can set a default quota for all employee users on their account as well as for individual employee users. Policy Based Administration can also be utilized to set storage quotas.

This setting is available for all Enterprise Premium accounts and is disabled by default.  You can enable this for your account on the File Settings page under Advanced Preferences in Admin Settings.

Each user’s quota is calculated by the storage within their Personal Folders and File Box. The percentage of quota used is presented at the bottom of the Personal Folders and File Box screens. When a user is approaching their quota, they will receive an email notification. Once over quota, they will receive another email notification and in-app messages stating they have exceeded their quota and will be unable to upload additional files.

Users over quota will be required to delete files and reduce their storage consumption before allowed to upload new files. This is enforced on the following ShareFile tools:
  • ShareFile Webapp
  • Citrix Files for Windows 4.3 or later
  • Citrix Files for Mac 4.3 or later
  • Citrix Files for iOS 7.6 or later
  • Citrix Files for Android 7.3 or later
  • Citrix Files for Outlook 6.2 or later

  2. Remote Upload Form crashes Chrome when drag and drop used from File Explorer window
