Retention Policy Doesn't Seem to Be Applying

I turned on Advanced Preferences > File Settings > Retention Policy--Files are automatically deleted: After 6 months.

I understand changes will not affect existing folders, but when I created a brand new user in the system and looked at the user's Personal Folder > Edit Advanced Folder Settings, it still displays File Retention Policy as check marked "Unlimited."

Also, the more information bubble under the settings states "To modify the policy on an existing folder, go tot hat folder and select 'Expiration Options" from the Folder drop-down list," but I don't see such option anywhere.

Can someone please help clarify?

Thank you

Thanks for trying to replicate my steps. Sounds like I need to just submit an official ticket to Support.
