Share a hidden folder from storagezone

Hi!
I was wondering if you had ever dealt with hidden shares.

I'm trying to figure out how to add a network share that is hidden in windows (created with the $ at the end of the name).

Sharefile seems to not handle this stuff correctly

I can correctly create a Network Connector, but I'm not able to access it even with an "administrative" account that has read/write perm on the real folder.

Thanks for you time

Hello Emil,

Are you trying to access a Network Share connector created with the path set to something like "\\localhost\c$"? This is not a typically supported scenario for ShareFile connectors so will be useful to better understand your specific use case.

You can check if if the path you are using for the connector is directly accessible (using Windows Explorer) from the StorageZones Controller machine, when using the same user credentials. If not, there may be a permissions set up issue on the file share that's blocking access for the user.

Hello Amit,
thanks for you response.
I'm trying with a path configured like "\\fileserver\shares\document$".
This is the same fileserver users access while in their office, so permissions should be right, but  I'm not able to browse it from Sharefile even with an account that as r/w permissions on that share.

Everything works good if I open the same path from the StorageZone Controllers, and from any PC inside the customer's domain.
