ShareFile Outlook plugin bug "You sent a message containing Citrix Attachments"

Hello,

I am using the most recent version of the Sharefile plugin for Outlook (v6.1.1949.0) and outlook version (16.0.10827.20118). I have disabled all other plugins to see if this would correct the problem, but it has not.

Generally, ShareFile tends to bugout my Outlook a little bit, makes it a bit slower and can mess with other plugins.

The most annoying issue I am having right now is when I go to an email that had a Sharefile attachment, the banner that is supposed to show above the email will instead open another window and display on my other monitor (see image). This wouldn't annoy me that much, but once this happens and I switch from email to email the window that displays the email is blank unless I do something like adjust the size of the Outlook window or adjust the size of the window that displays the description of all the emails in whatever folder I'm looking in.

Then I have to restart outlook or it happens every single time I switch from one email to another.

I have seen this happen with multiple end users and it is starting to get annoying.  It even started to happen on my Outlook plugin yesterday.  I have tried removing and re-installing the plugin, but that does not appear to get rid of it forever as I have seen it come back.  I have a similar setup as you, the latest version of Outlook (2016) along with latest version of the plugin.

It would be nice if Citrix would address this issue as soon as possible.

Hi Rose and Jeff, 

I'm on the Engineering team that works on Citrix Files for Outlook (formerly ShareFile Outlook Plug-in). 

We've heard many reports of this issue after the most recent update to Outlook (version 10730.20102 and higher) and we've implemented a fix that is in testing right now. The results look promising so far and we hope to have an updated version of the application out soon.

We apologize for the experience, I admit this snuck up on us after Outlook's recent update ;-)

Thank you for communicating with the community. There's a sense of relief that comes from knowing that Citrix is aware of the problem.
