Sharefile Sync and Fixed Drives

I don't think my workflow is unique.... I use Sharefile Sync to sync all my folders so I can work on items when offline when I travel. When I then get back online they all sync and everything is up-to-date.

However, my Windows tablet has much smaller storage on the C: drive, so I use a high capacity encrypted SD card which is 'permanently' in the tablet for data and so on. With OneDrive I can select this SD card as the location of my OneDrive folders to sync no problem, however with Sharefile it tells me I'm not allowed to use it as it isn't a fixed drive.

Given that a windows tablet isn't a rare device, will this limitation be removed or even just become a warning checkbox that you could potentially lose data (or whatever the problem Sharefile has that OneDrive doesn't)?

I know there's a network mapping app, but this requires you to be online where the sync allows my to unplug and travel without having to choose what I want in advance.

For now I'll have to use OneDrive/GoogleDrive as it doesn't have this limitation, but I'd like to use both ideally.

I did find a workaround by adding a path in Disk Management to the C: drive FYI, just hoping for a built-in solution :)
