I have a customer I share a file with weekly. They have to log in manually to get the file. Can they use an ftp client to connect and download the file? What are the steps they have to take to do this? What ftp link would I give them?
ShareFile is compatible with most well-known FTP clients, enabling you to connect to your ShareFile account directly from an FTP program. This provides a great way for you and your clients to upload or download files to or from a secure location while using your existing FTP programs.

Connecting to ShareFile You can connect to ShareFile either via traditional FTP (port 21) or using an implicit SSL/TLS connection (port 990). For security, ShareFile only supports secure FTPS transfers, which are sent over SSL, and not SFTP transfers, which are sent over SSH.
To find your FTP login and server information, you will need to log in to your ShareFile account, click My Settings in the navigation bar and then select FTP Settings in the sidebar.
If FTP Settings does not appear on your My Settings page or you do not have a My Settings page, you will need to contact your ShareFile administrator to have this feature enabled manually on your account. You can enable this feature by clicking Admin in the top navigation bar and then selectingPower Tools.
