Unable to acquire an access token using the 'authorization_code' grant_type

In an attempt to authenticate with Citrix Sharefile via Postman, I succesfully passed the first two steps (Request Authorization & User Login / Authorization)of the authorization flow, but when trying to exchange the code I received for an access & refresh token, I got the following error:
"error":"server_error","error_description":"unable to generate token"
I want to mention that it only happened on 26th of July, 7th and 9th of August, between 5 and 6 AM (GMT +3).

Could you please advise under what circumstances would this error appear?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi Alexandra,

That error happens when there was an issue making the database call to expire the authorization code during the exchange process. It isn't an issue with the request, but rather an issue on our backend. Apologies for this. I'll open a ticket to investigate these times to see if there is anything that can be done to prevent it in the future.

Thanks,
Dale Smith

Hi Dale,

Thank you again for your answer. I was wondering if a ticket has been raised for this issue and if there are any updates yo could provide me with? Also, I would like to find out if the 'password_grant' method would be a viable alternative in order to avoid this situation?

Thank you!

Best regards,
Alexandra

I have an additional question regarding the authentication process. Would the 'password_grant' method be a viable alternative in order to avoid this type of issues?

Thank you!
