Please reactivate the "Unzip after upload" feature. We have been informed that this feature has just been removed from the Web interface. We are a very high volume user and this feature is integral to our workflows.

For now this function has been removed to address performance issues when uploading zipped files. However, the function is scheduled to return in a later build of the web app. There is no ETA at this time.

I second this. It makes it extremely difficult to successfully backup and still access my files with this function disabled. Without this I either have to upload my files without zipping, which guarantees failure of some files, or upload a zip file, which means I have to download the whole thing again to access one file. Either way is not efficient with how many files I need to backup. Is there a work around or an ETA on when this feature will return?

I'll echo Phil Hicks thread starter post, as this unzip feature also applies to our enterprise workflows as well.

Ricardo, now with this feature suspended, will Sharefile now allow us to upload 10,000 to 20,000 single upload transactions per day without issue?

Todd that is a good question! I'll have to follow up with my colleagues for an answer.

Ultimately account bandwidth would determine your ability to upload 10,000 to 20,000 transactions within a day.

Thank you for that bit of information Ricardo.  I can take that to our internal team to evaluate how that impacts our agreement now that bandwidth is the factor and no longer transactional count.

Would you be able to point me toward the Sharefile Enterprise account documentation in general (at least) or better, specific pages that relate to the topic of bandwidth and transactions for enterprise accounts?

This is ridiculous! Sharefile seems to still be a featureless file storage with some basic permissioning Who builds this stuff? Seem like it is not much more than a grad school part-time project?? And why am I paying thousands of dollars for a professional version???

Obviously they charge you by bandwidth. Without unzipping, you could be uploading and downloading 10x the file size. It's not just the bandwidth, it makes the web version almost unusable ...

Please reactivate the "Unzip after upload" feature, this option allows us in construction to develop folder structure... ie Architectural, Structural, MEP and then zip the file, then upload to Sharefile and unzip thereby restoring the folder structure and associated files, this can save a lot of time and stress for a new hire or for a senior staffer in it's simplicity.
