Updating Sync without Admin Credentials

Anytime there is an update pushed to the Sync client; we are forced to touch all of our Machines since our users are not Admin users.  My question is three distinct questions:

  1. How can we manage when an update gets installed?  Currently, we don't receive notification, just an Admin Credential dialogue.
  2. Can we schedule the updates?
  3. Can we exempt Sharefile from the Admin credential?

Hi Bill,

If you go to https://www.citrix.com/downloads/sharefile/clients-and-plug-ins/, we have .msi installers for Sync that you can build a package from in order to push out the installation via group policy.  To keep them from updating on their own, you can go to Settings -> Admin Settings -> Advanced Preferences -> Enable ShareFile Tools.  There's a check box in the Sync section that says "Enable Auto-update" that you can uncheck.

Does that help?
