Video stream buffer/HIPAA

My organization would like to use ShareFile to share some video files containing PHI with outside entities that are authorized to see that PHI.  For privacy/security reasons, we would prefer that they stream rather than download the files so that the PHI never resides on the outside computer.  However, a question came up about video buffering -- if we share a video file and someone streams but doesn't download, does the buffered video persist on the machine where the video was watched after they stop viewing?

Hi Larry,

With streaming of the supported media files browsers may cache the chunks in memory but the data does not reside on local disk.
